Fitness and Health Promotion
TAP – Senior Citizens:
This programme offers every Wednesday structured activities for senior citizens, ranging from Cardio-Vascular Rehab, Fitness and Aerobics classes, Smoke Cessation Advice and Women’s Health Talk. The Third Age Project runs these classes at SLYC. This programme attracts over 50 users’ visits every week and has been very successful.
WETB – Sports Session:
This activity takes place on Monday, from 10:30 to 12:30am and it targets men and women in a serious of sports activities.
WETB – Women’s Zumba Class:
This is activity targets women of the age 18 to 50 years old, and it takes place on Tuesday, from 10am to 11am.
WETB – Men’s Badminton:
This activity takes place on Tuesday, from 11am to 12pm and on Saturday, from 3pm to 5pm.
SLYC Free Mix Gym:
SLYC Free Gym is a very popular activity within the community. It takes place on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, from 10 am to 2pm. The Gym membership currently stands at 250 and in average, 20 adults attend each session.
SLYC Free Women’s Gym:
The women’s only session takes place on Wednesdays, from 12pm to 2pm.
Free Cyber Café:
SLYC offers to the local community free computers and Internet access, five days per week, from 10am to 2pm. Users are asked to complete a form and the current membership is 45.
