Following the Expression of Interest (EOI) process, we have now moved into the next stage of identifying the future organisation to run youth services from the Samuel Lithgow Youth Centre.
A shortlist of organisations has been identified to progress forward.
What Happens Next – 30 April – Stakeholder Review Session
An online session will take place with community representatives, Trustees and Camden Council.
At this session, we will:
- Share the headline proposals and vision from the shortlisted organisations
- Outline their strengths and approach
- Gather questions, feedback and discussion from stakeholders
This session will provide staff, young people and local residents an opportunity to provide feedback and suggestions for the next stage of the process.
Decision Process
Following the stakeholder session, all information will be considered as part of a fair, structured and scored assessment, including:
- EOI submissions
- Stakeholder feedback
- Due diligence (governance, financial sustainability, safeguarding and delivery model)
A preferred organisation will then be identified and updated – we are aiming to do this in the first week of May.
11 May – Community Transition Session
The preferred organisation will be invited to take part in a community session on 11 May, where they will:
- Share their detailed vision and plans
- Begin engagement with sessional staff and community representatives
- Explore and develop how youth provision will be maintained and developed
Ongoing Community Voice
Community and youth feedback remains an important part of this process.
Input gathered through recent meetings and surveys will continue to inform the next stage.
Further updates will be shared as the process progresses.
Our Commitment: The priority remains to secure a sustainable, high-quality future for youth provision, ensuring the centre continues to serve young people and the wider community.
