Date: Thursday, 9 April 2026
Time: 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
Location: Samuel Lithgow Youth Centre, Stanhope Street, NW1 3LD
The Samuel Lithgow Youth Centre (SLYC) is entering an important new chapter. As many of you know, the Board of Trustees is currently working alongside the London Borough of Camden to secure a long-term, high-capacity partner to take over the lease and continue our vital youth service mission.
Your Voice Matters
This transition isn’t just about buildings or contracts – it’s about the people who use this space every day. We have officially launched our Expression of Interest (EOI) process, and we have already seen encouraging interest from established youth organisations. Now, we want to hear from you.
What to Expect at the Session
We are hosting a community briefing and consultation to ensure our neighbours, parents, and young people are at the heart of this process. Please join us to:
- Get the Facts: Understand the timeline for the transition and how we are protecting the centre’s legacy.
- Share Your Priorities: Tell us what services and values you want to see from a future partner.
- Join the Selection Panel: We are looking for local residents and young people to join our Community Selection Panel. This is a direct opportunity to help interview and select the successor organisation.
Continuity of Care
While we plan for the future, our current services remain active. Our Easter holiday programmes and regular sessional activities will be continuing as planned, and we remain fully committed to supporting our beneficiaries throughout this managed transition.
To help us with event logistics, registration is required – please use the following link to confirm attendance -> here

If you cannot attend but would like to share your thoughts or ask a question, please contact us at succession@samuel-lithgow.co.uk
We look forward to seeing you there and building the next 40 years of SLYC together.
