- SLYC will continue to develop the potential for joined up initiatives, by ensuring to partner organisations quality premises, solid management, equipment, and space availability for the delivery of mutual projects and initiatives. All efforts will be made to increase the accessibility to our services, particularly in relation to those groups considered ‘hard to reach’, and the SLYC will be in a privileged position to consolidate the relationship with local statutory and voluntary sectors providers. Borough wide joined up approaches and initiatives with both the voluntary and statutory sectors, either through community forums or networks, will continue to be pursued. SLYC will also aim to enable young people and the wider community to be further involved in the planning and delivery of services and having ownership of what is delivered at the Centre. As a result, SLYC will develop a pro-active approach to ensure an increase of community involvement not only at the Centre but also in the West Euston area. Therefore, all efforts will be made to get all our current and future partners involved in this approach.
Finally, since its creation in the late sixties to date, the SLYC has enjoyed a very successful and constructive long-term partnership with London Borough of Camden. As the biggest provider of youth and community based activities in the Regent’s Park Ward, we are already working in partnership with a number of statutory organisations, but we will continue to seek ways opportunities to further enhance this partnership. A number of new initiatives will be devised to
