SLYC is the only organisation in the Regent’s Park Ward which offers children and young people a structured and comprehensive Holiday Programme; thanks to a generous grant from the Big Lottery Fund. The sessions take place 11 weeks per year; Monday to Friday, from 3pm to 6pm and the average attendance is 60 children and young people per session. In the past 12 months, 300 children and young people [aged 10 to 18] attended the sessions. The Holiday Programme, provide a variety of activities for disadvantaged children and young people, which help them towards their emotional, physical, and educational development. In the last twelve months, the following activities have been delivered: (i) T-shirt Design Workshops; (ii) Jewellery Making Workshops; (iii) Mosaic Workshops; (iv) Life Coaching Workshops; (v) Graffiti Workshops; (vi) Gym Sessions; (vii) Film Club; (viii) Football Tournaments; (ix) Table Tennis Tournaments; (x) London Youth Table Tennis Championships; (xi) Pool Table Tournaments; (xii) Cyber Café; (xiii) CV Writing & Job Searches; (xiv) DJ / Mcing Sessions; (xv) Dance Sessions; (xvi) Healthy Eating & Cooking Workshops and Juice Bar; (xvii) Beauty Therapy & Hygiene Workshops. Children and young people also benefitted of a number of trips and outings, as follows: (i) Go Karting (twice); (ii) Ice Skating (twice); (iii) Bowling; (iv) Cheltenham Theme Park; (v) Air Hop Trampoline Park.
